ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant men's soccer sophomore Sam Conrad was named the CCS Player of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday.

The honor is the first of the season for Conrad, and his third career CCS weekly award.

Conrad, from Lookout Mountain, Ga., put together a stellar effort for the Scots in their 2-2 draw with Maryville last week, scoring a goal in the 59th minute and adding an assist in the 63rd minute to spark the comeback effort.

On the season, Conrad leads the Scots with three goals, while adding a pair of assists, on nine shots on goal in his 11 matches and 737 minutes played.

Conrad and Covenant men's soccer return to the pitch this evening, when they host Emory at 7 p.m.
