CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- On a rain-soaked Saturday, Covenant men's soccer endured the schedule and venue changes to honor the 1986 men's soccer team with a 3-1 win over Belhaven at Chattanooga Christian School.
Sam Conrad,
Jackson Bostrom, and
Collin Kitchin notched goals for the Scots (3-6-1, 1-0-1 CCS), with
Henry Parker assisting on two of them and
Ian Adams and
Cooper O'Connor adding to the assist ledger. Defensively,
J.T. Tolson made four saves in net, while
Daniel Wallis played all 90 minutes.
In the first half, it did not take long for Covenant's offense to get rolling, as they fired four shots, one on frame, in the first 6:36 of play. Then, in the ninth minute, Conrad was able to score on assists from Parker and Adams to give the Scots the early advantage. The goal was Conrad's second of the campaign.Â
After surviving a quick attack from the Blazers (6-5-1, 1-1-0 CCS), it was Bostrom's turn to get in the action, as he took a pass from Parker and scored for the second time in the 2026 season, extending the lead to 2-0 just 18:03 in.
The rest of the half went by without any further scores, as Covenant's defense held, aided by a save from Tolson on four Belhaven shots.
Early in the second half, the two teams traded unsuccessful shots, but in the 69th minute, the Blazers were able to squeak one in, as Ciaran Harris put one in on an assist from Graham Harris.
However, the rest of the match, the defense permitted only one shot, which Tolson stopped, and then Kitchin added the icing on the cake with his first career goal, on O'Connor's first career assist, to put the match out of reach in the 87th minute.
The Blazers got four saves from Justin Ramirez in net.
