GREENSBORO, N.C. - The American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday the College Baseball teams that won the Team Academic Excellence Award with Covenant Baseball among the honorees.
To earn this award, teams must have had a minimum team GPA of 3.0 for the 2023-24 season with their head coach being a current member of the ABCA. This is the fourth year in a row Covenant has earned this award.
On the field this season, Covenant posted a record of 16-26 and a 7-11 mark in the CCS. One of the highlights of the year was defeating No. 4 Birmingham-Southern, who eventually made it to the Division III College World Series, on the road in March.
