NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Covenant men's cross country has made two consecutive appearances in the USTFCCCA's regional rankings for the first time since 2019, announced the organization on Tuesday.
In 2019, the Scots were ranked No. 8 for two weeks, and went on to finish 10th at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Meet. This is the first time Coach Eli Kaczinski's team has been ranked since his arrival in 2022, when the team was ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll.
Covenant made their entry into the top 10 in the South region at No. 7 in the week one rankings, and only fell a couple of spots in the week two rankings to No. 9 following solid performances by No. 7 Shenandoah and No. 8 Catholic.
The Scots are off to a hot start in 2026, headlined by the dynamic duo of senior Aidan DeVries and freshman Hudson Casto, as Coach Kaczinski's squad seeks their first top 10 regional finish since 2019.
The cross country squad will be back in action on Saturday, October 3 at the Mountain Goat Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn.
