ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant women's soccer freshman AT Simon was named the CCS Rookie of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday.

The honor is the first for Simon this season.

Simon, from Charlotte, N.C., garnered the award after her game-tying goal against Piedmont last Saturday, where she took a free kick from well outside the 18' and put it through for her second career goal.

On the season, Simon is tied for the team lead with two goals, along with an assist, while playing 528 minutes defensively.

Simon and the Scots will be back in action on Saturday for homecoming against Huntingdon at 5 p.m.
