ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant women's tennis freshman Maisie Tanchanpongs and junior Estee Verdery were named the CCS Doubles Team of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday.

The award is the second such honor for the No. 1 doubles tandem this season.

Over the past week, Tanchanpongs, from Bangkok, Thailand, and Verdery, from North Augusta, S.C., were 2-0 in their doubles matches, defeating Maryville's Kondolios and Spencer 6-4 and LaGrange's Wiley & Wiley tandem 6-1. In those matches, the Scots went 1-1, including a 7-0 sweep of LaGrange.

On the season, the duo is 8-7 in their doubles matches.

Tanchanpongs and Verdery return to play on Friday at home against Huntingdon at 3 p.m.
