LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Covenant hosted Belhaven on Senior Day for Christina English. The Scots dominated throughout the match and picked up another CCS win.
After Belhaven had to forfeit line three due to player availability, Covenant just needed to win one of the top two lines of doubles. English and Katie Cummings were able to do just that as they picked up a dominant 6-1 win over Rebekah Nichols and Arica Eason at number two.Â
The Scots earned the doubles sweep as Landry McKinney and Ora Hall got a 6-3 win over Millie Gallarno and Evey Moore at the top spot.
Belhaven also had to forfeit lines five and six of singles which gave Covenant a 3-0 lead. Maisie Tanchanpongs shut the door as she won 6-1, 6-0 over Gallarno at number one. Estee Verdery won a close match at number two as she beat Nichols 7-6(2), 7-5.Â
English picked up the second win of her senior day as she beat Moore 6-3, 6-0 at number three. Kruesi Graham was inserted in the four slot and picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Eason.
