FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- Covenant men's golf currently sits fifth at the Fernandina Beach Invite after day one on Monday.
As a team, the Scots shot a 22-over, 598, eight shots back of fourth place-Bowdoin and five shots ahead of Washington and Jefferson in sixth.
Junior
Drew Silman led the way with a total 2-under, 142, with six birdies, good enough for fifth on the individual circuit as well.Â
Behind SIlman,
Carson Pruitt shot an 8-over, 152, while
Ayden Cordell had a 9-over, 153.
Cole Godwin and
Toby Matson tied with 11-over, 155s, and
Wiley Hickerson shot a 15-over, 159.Â
Will Sporalsky (10-over, 154) and
Isaac Randolph (34-over, 178) also competed on the individual side.
The Scots finish the tournament tomorrow, with the first group teeing off at 8:20 a.m.
