CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Covenant men's golf finished 13th at the Cleveland State Invitational on Tuesday, with
Drew Silman placing sixth overall individually.
As a team, the Scots had a score of 94-over, 958.Â
Silman led the way for Covenant individually, as his 6-over, 222 was good enough to tie him for sixth overall. He collected nine birdies over the course of the tournament.
Carson Pruitt shot a 20-over, 236 to land him second among Scots golfers, while notching six birdies.
Cole Godwin was next in line with his 30-over, 246, followed by
Wiley Hickerson's 42-over, 258 and
Will Sporalsky's 43-over, 259.
For the B team, who placed 16th,
Ayden Cordell paced the group with a 25-over, 241, with
Toby Matson three shots back of him at 28-over, 244.
Garrett Humbert had a 42-over, 258 to land third on the B team group, and
Zach Holmlund and
Isaac Randolph had identical 43-over, 259s.Â
Austin Jones rounded out the competitors with his 49-over, 265 on the individual circuit.
Central Alabama CC was the team champion with a 10-over, 874, and their top golfer, Zane Aiken, won the individual side with a 2-over, 218.
UP NEXT
The Scots will get a week off before competing at the Sam Snead Invite in Amherst, Va., hosted by CCS foe Piedmont.
