ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant women's tennis freshman
Maisie Tanchanpongs earned the CCS Player of the Week distinction, announced the conference on Tuesday.
The award is the first Player of the Week for Tanchanpongs, and the third weekly honor overall for the freshman in 2026.
Tanchanpongs, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, assisted the Scots in their lone match of last week, in which they defeated Oglethorpe 7-0 in Atlanta. In her match, Tanchanpongs dominated, winning 6-0, 6-0 over the Stormy Petrels' Glover.Â
Along with the singles win, Tanchanpongs and doubles partner
Estee Verdery defeated Glover and Thomas of Oglethorpe to take the win at No. 1 doubles.Â
For the season, Tanchanpongs is 8-3 in her singles matches, and has assisted in five doubles wins as well.
Tanchanpongs and the Scots hit the road for a CCS match with Agnes Scott tomorrow at 4 p.m.
