CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Covenant track and field set eight personal bests at the Lee University Invite on Friday and Saturday.
On the men's side, senior
Chandler Lines set a pair of personal bests, one in the 400m (54.61) and one in the 800m (1:59.16), while
Alex Burns (34:28.45) and
Aidan DeVries (35:00.43) added personal bests in the 10,000m.
Max Davis recorded the final personal record with his 12.08m (39' 7.75") mark in the shot put.
For the women,
Arielle Eklund had a time of 2:55.11 in the 800m to record a personal record, while
Evangelia Berry (4:54.09) and
Claire Mellott (5:20.34) added personal records in the 1500m.Â
In other results,
Cameron Bain participated in the 100m dash with his 11.61, while
Jacob Howington led the Scots' field in the 1500m wth a 4:19.99.
Ethan Saiki paced Scots 10,000m runners with a 33:29.63, and
Christian Mortimer fired the second-best time in the 48.62m (159' 6").
On the women's side,
Sophia Velleco won her heat in the 800m with a 2:29.18, while
Jaiden Henderson ran a 30.05 in the 200m dash.
Sarah Vannoy finished fourth overall in the 1500m with her 4:48.62, with
Lucie Demers finishing right behind her in fifth with a 4:49.65.
Elie Berndt (4.48m - 14' 8.5") and
Josephine Swinburnson (4.47m - 14' 8") had similar marks in the long jump.
