ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant women's track and field athletes
Evangelia Berry,
Sarah Vannoy,
Lucie Demers, and
Emerson Tillery were recognized as All-CCS honorees, announced the conference on Friday.
The honors come after the Scots finished third at the CCS Championships in Jackson, Miss.
Berry, a junior from Morgantown, W.Va., was named the Track Athlete of the Meet after her stellar performances in the long distance events, lapping the field, sometimes multiple times, in both the 5k (18:50.66) and 10k (39:57.77), earning the gold medal in both events.Â
Vannoy, a freshman from Woodinville, Wash., had herself an excellent meet in the long distance events as well, earning the silver medal in the 5,000m (19:35.89) and the bronze in the 10,000m (41:04.90), while also landing a third medal in the 1500m (4"50.97), claiming bronze.
Demers, a freshman from Rogers, Ark., notched two silver-medal finishes, one in the 800m (2:21.18) one in program-record time in the 1500m (4:44.84), breaking Lilly Smith's longstanding previous best.Â
Tillery, a junior from Leeds, Ala., was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship team, demonstrating how her encouraging presence and high energy are always a huge plus for the team and the program. She did not compete in a meet in 2026 due to injury.
