ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant baseball junior Zach Barrett was named the CCS Pitcher of the Week, announced the conference on Monday.

Barrett, a junior right-hander from Ringgold, Ga., was stellar in his start on Friday, helping the Scots sweep Greenville with a 7-3 win in the series cap.

In his outing, Barrett threw 88 pitches over six innings, giving up four hits, one walk, and no runs while striking out five men.

Barrett and the Scots continue their homestand with a four-game series against Wheaton (Ill.) this weekend, with a Friday doubleheader at 12 and 3 p.m. kicking things off.
