GREENWOOD, Ind. -Â The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Academic All-District selections for the 2024-25 Women's Tennis season on Tuesday afternoon with three Covenant players making the cut.
Sophomores
Christina English and
Zoe Giuntoli were named to the team while senior
Lauren Carr also earned Academic All-District Distinction. This award, nominated by SIDs across the country, recognizes student-athletes who have shown excellence in the classroom and on the court.
Carr earned this award for the second time in her career while both English and Giuntoli are Academic All-District players for the first time.Â
In order to be considered for selection on the Academic All-District Team, you must have shined in the classroom and on the court. The CSC's requirements for Tennis are as follows:
- Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically.
- Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.Â
- Student-athletes must be in the lineup for 70% of an institution's day of competitions.Â
Carr just graduated with a degree in Community Development while English is a Business major and Giuntoli is an Art major. All three women were important players for the Scots all season.Â
