LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant and Brevard took to the court on Tuesday afternoon for a nonconference battle. The Scots and Tornados played several tight matches, however it was the visitors who got the job done to remain undefeated. 

Final: Covenant 1, Brevard 6
Records: Covenant (2-10), Brevard (5-0)

DOUBLES:

• Lauren Carr and Zoe Giuntoli pulled out an exciting win in a tiebreak 7-6 (6-4) against Hannah Hersh and Sophie Trantham in the No. 1 ranked match.
• In the No. 2 position, Katie Cummings and Christina English fell short 2-6 to Madison Bowen and Jada Ore.
• Caroline Tisdale and Estee Verdery dropped the final doubles match to Gracie Spangler and Casey Wampler 1-6 as Brevard won the doubles point.

SINGLES: 

• Carr earned her second victory of the day in the No. 1 position, defeating Hersh 6-2, 6-2.
• In the No. 2 slot, Verdery fell in a hard battle with Bowen 4-6, 2-6.
• Giuntoli played in the No. 3 ranked match, falling to Spangler 3-6, 2-6. 
• The No. 4 ranked match went to a tiebreak with Cummings dropping a close match to Trantham 3-6, 7-6 (5-10).
• English also was defeated in a tiebreak for the Scots, dropping her match to Ore 6-2, 4-6 (10-3) in the No. 5 slot.
• Ora Hall manned the No. 6 position and lost to Wampler 4-6, 2-6 in another close-contested match.
