DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - The Scots teed it up the last two days at the West Pines Collegiate. Going up against its strongest competition of the fall, the Scots placed 13th out of 21 schools with a 54-hole score of (+37). The Scots shot back-to-back (+11) rounds to begin the tournament, before closing with a round of (+15). 

Most notably, Covenant finished better on the leaderboard than fellow CCS members, LaGrange, Maryville, and Belhaven. 

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES:

Drew Silman led the Scots on the leaderboard, finishing tied 34th out of 108 players at (+8). The junior put together rounds of 72 (+1), 74 (+3), and 75 (+4). Silman tallied seven birdies for the week. 

One shot behind Silman was freshman Carson Pruitt at (+9) and a tied 41st finish. His week was highlighted by an opening round of 69 (-2) for a new career-low in college golf. He closed out the week with rounds of 75 (+4) and 78 (+7).

Wiley Hickerson came in next on the leaderboard for Covenant, posting a score of (+11) to finish in a tie for 49th. In round two, Hickerson shot 70 (-1) for his second under-par round of the fall. In his other two rounds, the senior shot 77 (+6) twice. 

Cole Godwin finished the tournament at (+13) to place tied-55th. The freshman ended the tournament strong, shooting 71 (E) to jump up 26 spots on the leaderboard. In his other rounds he shot 79 (+8) and 76 (+5). 

Will Sporalsky rounded out the Covenant lineup with a score of (+17) to finish tied 73rd. He posted two rounds of 77 (+6) to start the tournament before closing with a round of 76 (+5).
