ATLANTA, Ga. -- Men's soccer freshman Carlton McClure was named the CCS Rookie of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday.

The honor is the first for McClure this season.

McClure, a freshman from Wheaton, Ill., landed the award after playing 147 minutes defensively for the Scots in their two matches, including all 90 minutes in a 4-1 win at Piedmont on Wednesday.

For the season, McClure has played in 14 matches, making five starts, and accumulated 651 minutes.

McClure and the Scots will await the winner of Belhaven and Huntingdon in the semifinals of the CCS Tournament on Nov. 6 in Huntsville.
