- Covenant is 1-5 all-time against Methodist and Friday will mark the fourth time the programs have met in the USA South Tournament. Methodist has taken all three previous tournament meetings, including a 1-0 win the last time the teams met on Nov. 3, 2017 in the semifinal round.Â
- Friday's semifinal matchup features two of the top defenses in the USA South. Methodist allowed a league-best eight goals this year and boasts a conference-leading 0.56 goals against average. Covenant is fourth in the league with a goals against average of 0.86 and is second with 11 shutouts.
- The Scots' 11 shutouts are tied for the most in a single-season in program history. Goalkeeper Lucy Sandhoff is fifth in the USA South in goals against average (0.79), leads the USA South in shutouts (seven), and was a second team All-West Division honoree. Defenders Hannah Bagby and Riley Amell also earned All-USA South honors.

- Methodist (13-1) went undefeated in USA South play (9-0) to claim the East Division crown. The Monarchs had six players honored on All-USA South teams. The Monarchs have won 11 straight, having not dropped a match since a Sept. 12 loss to St. Mary's (Md.).
- Known as a defensive team, the Monarchs were led in scoring by Laura Harris and her four goals and three assists. Harris was one of the six honored on All-USA South East Division teams.
