ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant golf senior Drew Silman was named the CCS Golfer of the Week, announced the conference on Wednesday.

The honor is Silman's third career Golfer of the Week award and sixth career CCS weekly honor overall.

Silman, a senior from Zachary, La., shot an even, 213 with 14 birdies to lead the Scots at the West Pines Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday, which was the second-best individual 54-hole score in program history.

Along with his individual excellence, his play helped the Scots break the team program record for a 54-hole tournament as well, as the team shot an 873 overall to place 9th at the event.

Silman and the Scots will return to action on October 19, when they travel to Springfield, Ohio for the Jeff Roope Invitational.
