ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South released its weekly award winners for Men's Golf on Wednesday, with Cole Godwin selected as Rookie of the Week. This comes after Godwin steered the Scots to a win at the Bob Jones Bruins Classic. 

The freshman from Austin, Texas shot rounds of 72 (E) and 77 (+5) to secure a tied-third place result in his second college tournament. In the first round, Godwin played the final five holes in four-under par to post the even-par score. 

In both of Godwin's rounds, he made four birdies. Lastly, his opening round of 72, tied his career-low in college golf. 

Godwin and the rest of the Covenant Men's Golf team return to competition October 6th-7th at the West Pines Collegiate in Douglasville, Georgia.
