ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South announced its Men's Golf weekly award winners on Wednesday afternoon with Carson Pruitt earning Rookie of the Week honors. It is the first time the freshman has won this award. 

Pruitt finished tied 41st out of 108 players at the West Pines Collegiate, shooting (+9) across 54 holes. His tournament was highlighted by an opening round of 69 (-2) before closing the week with scores of 75 (+4) and 78 (+7). The round of 69 is his lowest in college golf 

Pruitt was one shot behind Drew Silman for best score for Covenant. As a team the Scots placed 13th out of 21 schools in a competitive field. 

The Scots return to competition October 20-21 at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Georgia.
