LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. â Covenant finally had its home opener on Tuesday night, taking on Sewanee after playing its first six matches away from Scotland Yard. However, the Tigers spoiled the party as they defeated the Scots 3-0.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In front of the passionate crowd, the Scots came out on the front foot, tallying three shots before the Tigers had their first one.
- The 10th minute saw Sewanee test Covenant keeper Bronwyn Kickasola who dove to her right to make the save and keep the match level.Â
- At the 27-minute mark, Sewanee went ahead as Stella Martin fired in a loose ball from the top of the box into the back of the net.Â
- Just a few minutes later, the Tigers doubled their lead as Kylene Monaghan scored from the penalty spot after Gretchen Caswell committed a foul going in for an important challenge in the box.Â
- At the intermission, Sewanee had outshot Covenant 14-4.Â
- Less than three minutes into the second half, Sewanee made it 3-0 as Khiana Roraback scored after being played in on goal by a Susie Whitsett pass.Â
- As it did in the first half, Covenant used free kick opportunities to test the keeper, however none of the chances could muster a goal.
- Sewanee nearly scored again with a few minutes remaining, however a Covenant defender blocked the shot at the goal line.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 6-10-2 all-time against Sewanee.Â
- Sewanee outshot Covenant 26-9 and had a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.Â
- Kickasola made six saves in the loss.Â
- No yellow cards were assessed for the duration of the match.Â
- Sewanee had three corner kicks while Covenant had two.Â
