McCallie’s Matt Higgins Signs with Covenant

May 6, 2008 Chattanooga TN.-McCallie School goalie Matt Higgins signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at Covenant College next year.The two-year starter averaged .34 goals-against this season and has contributed nine shutouts. He averaged .92 goals-against last year with 7.25 shutouts.

Dalton guard signs with Covenant Women's Basketball

Lookout Mountain, GA – Savana Southerland from Christian Heritage in Dalton, Georgia has signed to play basketball for the Covenant College women’s basketball team. The 5’3” guard led her Lady Lion squad to a Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) state championship runner-up finish in the Class AA division and a 27-3 record this season.

Coach Tom Schreiner Qualifies for Tennessee State Open

Covenant Golf Coach Tom Schreiner qualified for the 2008 Tennessee State Open this past Monday at Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Twenty seven players were playing for 8 spots for the championship to be played on May 20-22 in Nashville, Tennessee.
