LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- In a game that saw the two teams shoot a combined 36-of-101 from the field, it was the Huntingdon Hawks who made just enough shots to get by Covenant 58-51 in a Great South matchup Wednesday night inside Barnes Physical Education Center.
Covenant (6-16, 2-5 GSAC) put two players in double figures led by Damien Chaney’s 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Callum Sears added 11 points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds, and had one steal. The Scots shot 35.3 percent (18-of-51) for the game, including just two 3-pointers.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant women’s basketball program said goodbye to four graduating seniors on Wednesday night. But the visiting Huntingdon College spoiled Senior Night as the Lady Hawks took an 80-64 win over Covenant.
Margaret Cross, Hannah Craft, Christine Core, and Erica Vaughn were all recognized for their efforts on and off the court during their tenure at Covenant.

The Lady Scots record stands at 5-14 and 4-7 after the week. The men’s team improved to 6-15 and 2-4 in the GSAC after splitting its two games this week.
Covenant Player of the Week Again Goes to Blankenship

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- For the fourth time this season, women’s basketball player Jessie Blankenship was named Covenant’s Player of the Week.
Though the Lady Scots dropped two decisions last week, Blankenship had an outstanding two games. For the week, the sophomore averaged 12.0 points per game and an even 9.0 rebounds per game. Of the 18 total rebounds, eight were on the offensive glass. Blankenship shot 45.8 percent (11-of-24) from the floor while blocking two shots and collecting two steals.
