LOUISVILLE, Ky. and MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Covenant Cross Country did something it had never done in its history on Saturday, which was have its men's team compete in two places in one day. Covenant had a group of its men's team and the full women's team race at the Live in Lou Classic while also having some runners from the men's side race at the Berry College Invite.Â
Starting with the women, Covenant placed 42nd out of 47 schools in the 6k.
Lucie Demers (23:58.6, 119th) and
Sarah Olson (24:17.6) led the way for Covenant against a field of 416 runners.Â
On the men's side at the Live in Lou Classic, the Scots finished 35th out of 41 schools in the 8k.
Ethan Saiki was the leading runner for the Scots, posting a PR time of 26 flat to finish 51st.
Trey Mortensen was Covenant's next runner to cross the finish line at 26:54.2 to place 160th.Â
At the Berry Classic, the Scots placed sixth out of 12 teams. Trey Faulk led the Scots with an 8k time of 28:53.78 to place 25th. Behind him was
Jackson Latimer who completed the race in 29:42.64 to place 37th.Â
