MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Covenant played its regular season finale on Saturday at Huntingdon, knowing it needed a win to guarantee a home CCS Tournament game. The Scots scored two goals, which was enough to leave town with their third consecutive win going into the postseason.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tess Duble netted Covenant's first goal at the 13-minute mark, with Georgie Strawbridge earning the assist.Â
- The Hawks had the next three shots of the match, two of which were off target, one of which required Bronwyn Kickasola to make a save.Â
- Huntingdon had three corner kicks late in the first half, but were unable to get off any shots from any of them.Â
- At the break, Covenant had outshot Huntingdon 4-3.Â
- In the 56th minute, AnnaLi Weekley scored with Hannah Ford tallying the assist to make it 2-0 Covenant.
- Less than five minutes later, Huntingdon got back in the match as Keabetsoe Walker scored off an assist from Greer Kemmett.Â
- Covenant controlled the next 15 minutes, totaling six shots, but could not find the back of the net.Â
- The Scots held off a few chances from the Hawks late to secure the victory.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 19-1-2 all-time against Huntingdon.Â
- Covenant outshot Huntingdon 15-10 and had an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal.
- Kicksola made four saves in the win.Â
- Depending on the result of the Asbury/Piedmont match tomorrow, Covenant will either be the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the CCS Tournament.Â
- Three wins in a row is a season-high for Covenant.Â
