Box Score Tonight (Sept. 10), Covenant traveled to Atlanta to play Whitworth at 4 PM. The Scots picked up their second win on the season after a 2-1 victory over the Pirates.
Though the Pirates scored before the two-minute mark, Covenant Men's Soccer climbed back in during the first half, and then overcame Whitworth in the second.
Goals came from
Kade Theunissen at 26:09 and in the 78
th minute by
Jay Patterson, assisted by
Knox Gibson.
Both teams shot an even amount of times, Covenant just putting up one more attack than Whitworth. (11-10) However, the Scots put more on target than the Pirates, five shots on goal compared to just two shots on goal for Whitworth.
This resulted in three saves for Andrew Wolotira as opposed to Covenant

Nathan Laughlin, and
Jay Patterson, all who are becoming staples for the Covenant Scots men's soccer team. Last match, these five players also never once came out of the game.
This squad will travel next Tuesday as men's soccer remains on the road until September 20
th, where they will play Asbury at home. Just three more contests before they will have the chance to finally play on the Yard.
