CLARKESVILLE, Ga. -- The Covenant men's golf team shots a 314 in the opening round of the Piedmont Fall Invitational on Monday, and finished third in the tournament as rain forced the cancellation of Tuesday's final round.
The Scots placed third behind host Piedmont and Bob Jones.
Grant Little paced the Scots with a 76 in the first round that placed him in a tie for 11th overall. Little's score tied his season-low round and his 11th place finish was a season-best.
Will DeMersseman and
Isaac Duncan each carded a 79 to finish in a tie for 18th overall.
Kenny Duffin posted an 80 to round out the Covenant scorers on Monday, while
Bo Luff had a season-best 81.
Piedmont Mario Perezcassar III and Georgia Military's Dylan Humphries tied for medalist honors with their 2-under, 70 rounds on Monday.Â
Tuesday's final round was canceled before Covenant teed off due to continued rains in northeast Georgia.
