ATLANTA, Ga. -- Covenant men's tennis freshman
Lincoln Shine was tabbed as the CCS Rookie of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday.
The award is the sixth Rookie of the Week for Shine this season.
From Knoxville, Tenn., Shine went undefeated in both singles and doubles, helping the Scots to a 2-0 week with two shutout victories. He earned a straight-set win at No. 6 singles against Huntingdon and paired with
Gavin Patton for a perfect 2-0 record at No. 3 doubles. The Scots won 7-0 in both matches.
On the season, Shine is 9-9 in singles and 8-3 in doubles.
Shine and the Scots head up to Kentucky on Friday to play Asbury in their final regular season match at 12 p.m.
