LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant took on Belhaven on Senior Day for Ben Onufrock, Graham Hayes, Brock Boehling, Jacob Eldridge, and Jackson Nance. The Scots were able to send their seniors out with a win as they picked up a comfortable victory over the Blazers.
Hayes and Boehling set the tone at number two as they picked up a 6-1 win over Briley Oakes and Harshith Anugonda. Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Jesus Diaz and Josiah Leggett.Â
Gavin Patton and Lincoln Shine closed out the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win over Paul Stager and Stephen Spencer.
Domkowski extended the Scots lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Diaz, which set the program record for singles wins in a single campaign (19). Hayes also got the job done at number three as he beat Leggett 6-1, 6-4. Onufrock got the clinch at the top spot as he defeated Anugonda 6-2, 6-2.
Boehling kept the Scots rolling as he knocked off Spencer 6-0, 6-3 at the number four spot. Eldridge held down the number five spot as he cruised past Oakes 6-2, 6-1. Nance was inserted in the six slot and performed well as he picked up a gritty 7-6(5), 6-4 win over John Madden.
