ORLANDO, Fla. -- Covenant men's tennis took care of business against Transylvania on Saturday, sweeping the match 7-0.
The match began in dominant fashion with doubles play, as No. 1 tandem
Ben Onufrock and
Caleb Domkowski upended Mandeville and Kaufmann 6-2, and then
Graham Hayes and
Brock Boehling followed with a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Jiranek and Cordrey.
Jacob Eldridge and
Cameron Erb completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win over Smith and Earlywine.
In singles play, Onufrock defeated Kaufmann 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1, and then Domkowski subsequently defeated Tedeschi 7-6, 6-2 at No. 2, while Hayes upended his opponent Jiranek 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 to clinch the win.
Boehling kept up the winning ways with his 6-7, 6-1, 10-1 tiebreak win at No. 4,
Gavin Patton beat Earlywine 2-6, 6-1, 10-8 in the No. 5 slot, and then
Lincoln Shine clinched the sweep with his 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.
