ATLANTA, Ga. - Covenant took on Oglethorpe in its second game of the 2025 season as it traveled to Atlanta. The Scots struck first, but were ultimately unable to keep up with the Stormy Petrels as they were defeated 3-1 for the second time this year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Just six minutes into the game, Freshman Georgie Strawbridge scored her first collegiate goal off of an assist from Sophomore AnnaLi Weekley.
- In the 17th minute, Covenant was given a yellow card, but it didn't cost the Scots as Oglethorpe's free kick was missed high.Â
- In the 33rd minute, the Stormy Petrels evened the score with a low center goal, making it a 1-1 game.
- Oglethorpe scored again just before half to give it a 2-1 lead.
- At the half, Oglethorpe had outshot Covenant 4-2.Â
- After an Oglethorpe yellow card In the 58th minute, Strawbridge attempted to even the score with her second goal of the game, but missed high.Â
- Covenant had a golden opportunity to tie the game, as Oglethorpe committed a foul in the box in the 81st minute. However the Scots missed the PK, leaving them down one.Â
- Just a minute after the missed PK, Oglethorpe scored a critical goal to extend their lead to 3-1, leaving the Scots down by two goals with nine minutes left.
- Covenant's last shot of the game was missed by Blythe Jelley at the 84 minute mark as Oglethorpe ran the clock out and secured the 3-1 victory.

- Covenant moves to 6-4 all time against Oglethorpe
- Oglethorpe outshot Covenant 13-7 and had a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.Â
- Bronwyn Kickasola totaled two saves on the night.Â
- Oglethorpe had five corner kicks while Covenant had two.Â
- Oglethorpe had 14 fouls to Covenant's six.
- Covenant received three yellow cards while Oglethorpe received none.
