SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Scots hit the road for a rivalry match just an hour away at Sewanee of the SAA. They started strong, but ultimately couldn't hold off the Tigers, who rallied for a 3–2 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- The Scots got on the board early as Jonathan Welsh assisted Jackson Bostrom with a nifty back-heel pass for his team-high fifth goal of the season.Â
- At the 15-minute mark, Whitt Tisdale cashed in on a penalty kick to give Covenant a 2-0 lead.
- Eli Honeycutt was busy in the first half making five saves to help keep the Scots up by two.
- Sewanee outshot Covenant 10-4 in the first half.
- The Tigers had two corner kicks early in the second half, but the Scots held strong as Tyler Scott's shot was missed high.
- At the 76-minute mark, Sewanee finally made good on a shot opportunity as Alpha Bah scored to cut the Scots' lead to one.
- With just five minutes left to play, Sewanee evened the score on a penalty kick following a hand ball in the box on Covenant.
- Just before the 87-minute mark, Sewanee scored again with what turned out to be the winning goal as Isaac Rasheed put the Tigers up 3-2 with a left-footed curling effort.
- A red card on Sewanee with two minutes left put the Scots a man up, but they were unable to capitalize as Sewanee ran out the clock.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 10-6-4 all-time against Sewanee.Â
- Sewanee outshot Covenant 22-6 and had an 11-3 advantage on shots on goal.
- Both teams were called for three yellow cards.
- Honeycutt finished with eight saves on the evening.
