ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South released its Women's Track and Field weekly award winners on Tuesday afternoon with
Elie Berndt named as Field Rookie of the Week.
This marks the first time in the freshman's career that she has received this award. It is the third CCS weekly award the Women's Track and Field team has won this spring.Â
At the Emory Dooley Elite Meeet, Berndt had a busy day of competition, competing in three different events for the Scots with two top-five finishes. In the Javelin Throw, she posted a mark of 21.33m to place fourth while in the Triple Jump she placed fifth with a jump of 9.63m.
The other event that the Williamson, GA native competed in was the Long Jump where she finished 14th with a mark of 4.06m.
Covenant returns to competition on Thursday and Friday at the Berry Field Day Invitational.
