LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Scots were back in action at home taking on Buena Vista in a doubleheader in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Covenant came back to win game one before falling in game two to split the day with the Beavers.Â
Game 1 Final: Covenant 7, Buena Vista 4

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a triple by Bradi Krager in the first, Covenant made an error on a dropped third strike, allowing the Beavers to take a 1-0 lead.
- Covenant answered in the bottom of the second after a single by Isabella Duran and a Buena Vista throwing error helped Tisha Holland score to tie the game at one.Â
- Buena Vista gained a 4-1 lead after a pair of RBI singles in the top of the fourth.Â
- After escaping a bases loaded jam on defense, the Scots answered in the bottom of the fourth by scoring six runs, highlighted by a 3-RBI double by Cailey Barnett.Â
- Later in the frame, Helena Nagy and Ashlyn Gaines each hit RBI doubles to extend the lead for the Scots.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Charley Clark (7 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 9 K) went the distance to pick up the win, improving her record to 2-2 on the season.Â
- Covenant outhit Buena Vista 10-5.
- Buena Vista made two errors, while Covenant made one.
- Covenant's Gracie Lacle and Haley Russell both were 2-for-3 at the plate.
- Barnett recorded 3 RBIs.
Game 2 Final: Covenant 2, Buena Vista 13

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Buena Vista scored four in the first inning due to an error, a walk, and 3 hits.Â
- Covenant got on the board with a two-out rally in the bottom of the second that brought in two runs, including a Duran RBI single.Â
- The Beavers continued their scoring in the fourth when Danica Workman hit Lindy Nelson in with an RBI double.Â
- An infield single by Krager brought Workman across to make the score 6-2 heading to the bottom of the fourth.Â
- Buena Vista poured it on in the top of the fifth by scoring seven runs, all with two outs.Â
- Five hits and a couple costly Covenant errors allowed this rally which led to a Five-inning run rule.Â
- Buena Vista's Kali Irlmeier finished her strong outing in the circle by shutting down the Scots in the bottom of the fifth.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 1-1 all-time against Buena Vista.
- Irlmeier (5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 K) recorded the win with her complete game.Â
- Buena Vista outhit Covenant 12-4.
- Covenant made five errors, while Buena Vista made one.Â
- Krager (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 R) led the Beaver's offense.Â
