Sandhoff, Barber Earn All-CCS Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South released its All-Conference teams for Volleyball on Wednesday evening with two Covenant student-athletes earning recognition. Cali Sandhoff was named to the First Team while Kennedy Barber picked up Second Team honors. Both of these standout players are part of Head Coach Stephanie Wharton's strong junior class.

Sandhoff made her presence known offensively and defensively all year long for Covenant as a Middle Hitter and Setter. The Lookout Mountain native, totaled 13 double-doubles and five triple-doubles which ranks fifth in NCAA Division III. As a result of her consistent production, Sandhoff won CCS Player of the Week three times. She has now been named All-Conference in consecutive years, after being named to the Second Team in 2024.

Statistically she led Covenant in points with 276 (2.71 per set) and kills with 204 (2.00 per set). Additionally, Sandhoff ranked second on the team in assists with 419 (4.11 per set). On the defensive side of the net, Sandhoff brought in 260 digs (2.55 pet set) and tallied 40 total blocks. Lastly, Sandhoff was a key server for the Scots, as she had 46 service aces on the year, which ranks sixth in the CCS.

Barber shined on the court for Covenant as an Outside Hitter and at times as a Setter when called upon. Offensively, she had five matches with at least 10 kills, including a career-high 13 kills in a win versus MUW. She also totaled 24 assists and 26 assists in a pair of CCS wins against Piedmont and LaGrange, showing her diverse skill set on the court.

Statistically for the year, Barber ranked second on the team in points with 214.5 (2.15 pet set) and kills with 186 (1.86 per set). On defense, Barber made her presence known at the net with 37 total blocks. She also had 86 digs on the year. This award marks the first time she has been named All-Conference.

Senior Amber Snook was Covenant's representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Scots return to the court tonight at 6 p.m. for the Quarterfinals of the CCS Tournament against Belhaven in Barnes P.E. Center.
