ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South released its final weekly award winners for the 2025 Volleyball season on Monday afternoon as all three awards were given to a Covenant student-athlete.Â
Cali Sandhoff was named Player of the Week,
Sarah Jennings won Defensive Player of the Week, and
Henley Gentry picked up Rookie of the Week honors.
Sandhoff has now won Player of the Week three times this season. This comes after the junior totaled 39 assists (4.9 per set), 18 digs (2.25 per set), and nine kills across two games as the Scots fell in five at Sewanee before defeating MUW in straight sets. In the win versus MUW, Sandhoff delivered her 13th double-double of the season with 19 assists and 12 digs.Â
Jennings was a key player in defense in both of Covenant's matches, totaling 48 digs (6 per set), including 28 at Sewanee. Additionally, the Clarkesville, Georgia native added six assists and three service aces. This is the fifth time in her career and the second time this season she has been named Defensive Player of the Week.Â
Gentry is honored after delivering consistent performances in each of Covenant's two games, totaling 18 digs (2.25 per set). The freshman also came through with three service aces for the Scots. This marks the first CCS award of her career. Additionally, she becomes the first Rookie of the Week award winner for Covenant since October 30, 2023, which was won by Jennings.Â
Covenant returns to the court on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. as it hosts Belhaven in the Quarterfinals of the CCS Tournament.Â
