Box Score 3 ATLANTA, Ga. - No. 25 Covenant traveled south down I-75 for three games to begin the 2024 season. The Scots didn't blink, taking down Wilmington, Pfeiffer, and Oglethorpe to start the year 3-0.
Covenant vs Wilmington: 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-14, 25-11)
GAME NOTES:Â
- In the first game of her senior year, Hannah Mathis led Covenant with 14 kills and three total blocks.Â
- Fellow senior, Kelsey Carman, was also in double-figures with 12 kills.
- Cali Sandhoff totaled 20 assists and a career-high nine service aces. As a team, the Scots had 19 service aces.Â
- Sarah Jennings posted 18 digs and Amber Snook tallied 17 assists for the Scots.Â
Covenant vs Pfeiffer: 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-19)
GAME NOTES:
- Mathis was in double-figures in kills once again for the Scots with 12.Â
- Scarlett Martz and Ella Bailey each had eight kills for Covenant.
- Splitting time in the setter role, Sandhoff tallied eight assists while Snook had 13.Â
- Carman posted a team-high 17 digs to go along with her five kills.Â
Covenant vs Oglethorpe: 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22)
GAME NOTES:
- Carman posted her first double-double of the season with 14 kills and 11 digs.
- Sandhoff also had a double-double for the Scots with a career-high 25 assists and 11 kills.Â
- Jennings led Covenant with a career-high 24 digs.
- Mathis was the final Covenant player with double figure kills, posting 10.Â
- Kinsley Kleinmann had some success in attack for Covenant with eight kills.Â
- Snook tallied 13 assists and seven digs.
