LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - After falling victim to a walk-off victory a week ago in Atlanta, Covenant returned the favor against Oglethorpe in a back-and-forth game.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Back-to-back RBI singles from Kolby Kimberly and Chase McBryar put the Scots ahead 2-0 in the second inning.Â
- Later in the frame, Covenant went up 5-0 thanks to a RBI double down the left-field line by Harrison Adelgren and a RBI single through the right side by Ben Johnson that ended up plating two runs after an outfield error.Â
- Five hits and two errors in the third inning saw the game immediately get back tied again.Â
- Oglethorpe kept the offensive momentum into the fourth inning as a RBI single and a 2-RBI single put it ahead 8-5.
- Kenny Mills made it 8-7 with a 2-RBI single to left field in the bottom of the frame.Â
- Four unearned runs for the Stormy Petrels saw them push their lead to 12-7 in the sixth inning.Â
- A RBI sac-fly to center field extended Oglethorpe's lead to 13-7 in the seventh inning, which was Covenant's largest deficit of the day.Â
- Pinch-hitter Josh McCaskill started the rally in the seventh, with a 2-RBI double down the left-field line.Â
- The next batter was Adelgren and he followed suit with a 2-RBI double to left-center field.Â
- An infield error followed by a RBI sac-fly from Chris Savage tied the game back up at 13.Â
- A pair of two-out RBI base hits for Oglethorpe put it back on top 15-13 in the eighth inning.Â
- Johnson edged Covenant closer with a RBI single that scored McBryar in the eighth.Â
- Trailing by one in the bottom of the ninth inning, Kimberly tied the game up at 15 with a RBI sac-fly to right field.Â
- Three batters later with the bases-loaded and one out, McCaskill drew a walk on four pitches to win the game for the Scots.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 10-11 all-time against Oglethorpe.
- Oglethorpe had 20 hits while Covenant had a season-high 19 hits.Â
- Each team committed three errors.Â
- The Scots used eight pitchers while the Stormy Petrels used five.Â
- McBryar led the Scots with a four-hit day (4-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 3 R).
- Adelgren (3-for-5, 3 RBI, 3 R) and Johnson (3-for-5, 2 RBI, 1 R) also had strong performances at the plate.Â
- RHP Jonathan Glover earned the win for the Scots (1.1 IP, 1 H, 2 K).
- Mills started the game on the bump and was effective in two innings of work (2 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 3 K).Â
UP NEXT: Covenant begins conference play this weekend at Huntingdon. Game one is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.Â
