LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - On day two of the 84 Lumber Classic, Covenant took on Greenville in a fast-paced and high-scoring affair. The Scots executed the game plan in the first half, but the Panthers owned the second half to take the win.Â

FIRST HALF:
- An early 10-0 run for the Panthers put them up 12-5 with 16:28 remaining.Â
- A couple of transition baskets from Luuk Dusek and Jake Stephens put Covenant back in front at 15-14.Â
- Greenville took the lead back for a few minutes before a 10-0 Covenant run put it on top 27-22.Â
- The Panthers immediately tied the game back with a 3-pointer followed by a fast break basket.
- The Scots got hot again as a 14-2 run capped off by a transition bucket from Thomas Malcolm made it 44-31.
- With four points in the final five seconds of the half, the Panthers were able to cut the Scots lead to single digits at 56-49.
SECOND HALF:
- It took less than four minutes for Greenville to complete the comeback as a triple tied the game at 63.Â
- The Scots went cold offensively as Greenville scored eight more points before Covenant could get a basket to fall.Â
- With 12:11 left in the game a second-chance basket for the Panthers pushed their lead to double-digits at 80-69.Â
- After Covenant cut the lead back down to seven points, a 10-0 run for Greenville put the score at 90-73.
- A 6-0 Covenant run started by a layup from Colt Donley cut the lead to 11 points.Â
- Greenville responded with an 8-0 run to end any more thoughts of a comeback for the Scots.Â
- In total, Greenville outscored Covenant 69-40 in the second half.Â
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 0-4 all-time against Greenville.
- Patterson scored 17 points while Donley scored a career-high 16 points to lead the Covenant offensive attack.Â
- Pierce Smith flirted with a double-double, posting 13 points and eight rebounds.Â
- Covenant shot 43% (37-86) and was 23.5% (8-34) from behind the 3-point line while Greenville was 48.5% (48-99) and 29% (9-31) in the same categories.Â
- The Scots committed 30 turnovers and caused 22 turnovers on the Panthers.Â
