LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - It was Senior Day at Scotland Yard, but the Scots couldn't let the celebrations distract them from a massive game with Asbury. With the help of an early goal, Covenant earned the 1-0 win and jumped ahead of Asbury for first place in the CCS standings.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- The winning goal came in the seventh minute on a free kick from Kade Theunissen that found Whitt Tisdale who headed it into the back of the net.Â
- Asbury earned three corner kicks across 20 minutes, but the Covenant defense didn't allow it to get a good look on goal.Â
- Jackson Bostrom fired a shot from deep in the 44th minute for the Scots, but it missed high.
- At the break, Asbury had outshot Covenant 7-5.Â
- Covenant keeper Will Hicks made his first save of the second half in the 52nd minute in the bottom center of his goal.Â
- Tyler Johnson nearly gave the Scots a 2-0 lead in the 81st minute, however his scissor kick shot rattled off the crossbar.Â
- Three minutes later, Theunissen forced the Asbury keeper into a save at the bottom left of the goal as he searched for a Senior Day goal.Â
- With less than 60 seconds remaining, the Eagles created an opportunity inside the box after a Covenant miscue, however the Scots defense recovered before Asbury could pounce on the mistake.Â
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 10-3 all-time against Asbury.
- The Eagles outshot the Scots 11-9 and had a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.Â
- Hicks tallied four saves in the shutout.Â
- The foul count was 13-9 Covenant.Â
- Each team had two yellow cards assessed.Â
