LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant battled Belhaven and Wesleyan on Saturday for two more important conference games. The Scots lost their first set of the day before winning the next six to end the day with a 6-2 CCS record.Â

Records: Covenant (11-10, 5-2 CCS), Belhaven (8-9, 6-2 CCS)
FIRST SET:
- Both teams couldn't muster a big lead early on as the score was tied at nine.
- Belhaven threw the first punch with a 7-0 scoring run to go up 16-11.
- The Scots battled back to make it 24-23, however a Blazers kill gave them the set 25-23.Â
SECOND SET:
- Back-to-back kills from Delaney Stirm tied the set at six.Â
- A 4-0 run on Kelsey Carman's service rotation put Covenant in front 15-11.Â
- Belhaven climbed all the way back to make the set tied at 21.Â
- Another Stirm kill followed by a service ace from Sarah Jennings ended the set in Covenant's favor 25-22.
THIRD SET:Â
- Covenant used a 6-0 run to take a commanding 13-5 lead.Â
- Kills from Kelsey Carman and Mathis kept Covenant steadily in front at 19-10.
- A service error from the Blazers ended the set at 25-15.
FOURTH SET:Â
- Consecutive kills from Ella Bailey started a 7-1 Scots run that gave them a 16-12 advantage.
- Jennings recorded another service ace to make it 20-15.
- The Scots scored the final four points to close out the set 25-18 and the match.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 6-2 all-time against Belhaven.Â
- Mathis posted a stat line with 12 kills, five total blocks, and five digs.
- Stirm was also in double-figures with a career-high 12 kills.Â
- Kennedy Barber had a double-double with 33 assists and 18 digs.
- Jennings set a new career-high in digs with 28.

- Kills from Stirm, Carman, and Scarlett Martz put the lead in double-digits at 16-6.
- The set ended at 25-10 after a Mathis kill assisted by Amber Snook.
SECOND SET:
- Covenant scored the first four points with the help of kills by Kayley Shanfelt and Mathis.
- A 6-0 scoring run on Bailey's service rotation, that included two service aces, made it 17-6.Â
- Stirm earned the set-clinching kill at 25-12.Â
THIRD SET:Â
- The Scots continued to dominate as a kill from Barber assisted by Camila Gonzalez put them ahead 10-5.
- Sandhoff recorded three service aces in a row as Covenant led 17-7.
- AnaClara Maik earned a kill before an attack error by the Wolves ended the set at 25-16 and the match.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 20-0 all-time against Wesleyan.
- Mathis totaled eight kills and four total blocks.Â
- Sanhoff led the Scots with 14 assists while Jennings had 10 digs to lead the team in that statistic.Â
- All 15 players dressed for the match saw time on the court.Â
- Covenant is riding a season-high five-match winning streak.Â
