LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - After dropping a heartbreaker the night before, Covenant welcomed LaGrange to Barnes P.E. Center. A difficult second half for the Scots led to its third CCS loss of the season.

Records: Covenant (3-12, 0-3 CCS), LaGrange (10-5, 2-1 CCS)
FIRST HALF:
- LaGrange raced out to a 5-0 lead, before Jesse Kinard made a layup while being fouled.
- A 6-0 run by the Panthers put them up 11-3 with 14:23 remaining.
- David Compere and Pierce Smith each made a layup as the Scots trailed 13-7.
- Fueled by five points by Kinard, Covenant went on a 7-0 run to get back within two points at 16-14.
- Logan Pearlman kept the Scots down two with a 3-pointer with 5:21 left before the intermission.
- Covenant got another triple to drop, this one by Gernatt to cut the lead to 25-24.
- The Panthers ended the half on a 12-0 run to go into the locker room up 13 points, which was their biggest lead at the time.
SECOND HALF:
- The two sides went back-and-forth in the first few minutes of the half as an old-fashioned 3-point play by Gus Hood put the score at 45-31.
- A 9-0 run for the Panthers in under a minute was killer for the Scots as they now trailed by 25 points.
- Compere and Gernatt each got shots to fall, but Covenant was still trailing 66-41 with 9:24 remaining.
- Six straight points by LaGrange increased its lead to 78-47.
- A triple and an inside basket by the Panthers pushed their lead to 34 points.
- Zak Thomas and Reece Pride each made baskets for Covenant in the closing minutes as it was defeated 96-59.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant drops to 19-17 all-time against LaGrange.
- Gernatt was the only Covenant player in double-figures with 11 points and four rebounds.
- Compere and Kinard each had nine points.
- Covenant shot 34.4% (22-64) from the field while LaGrange was 50.7% (34-67).
- The Scots were outrebounded 46-25.
