LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Women's soccer took on Sewanee as the night cap of a doubleheader at Scotland Yard. In the match, the Scots fought hard to earn a draw with the Tigers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Covenant goalkeeper Lucy Sandhoff made her first big save of the night on a 1v1 attack from Brianna Fee in the 15th minute.
- Just a few minutes later, Fee broke free again, but Sandhoff was true to her attempt on goal.
- Leah Marr had Covenant's first shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the Sewanee goalie was positioned well to save it.
- In the 38th minute, Sewanee had another breakaway opportunity to score, but once again Sandhoff saved the day.
- At halftime, Sewanee had 10 shots while Covenant had two.
- Aiden Strawbridge came close to giving the Scots the lead in the 66th minute, but her shot from outside the box just went over the crossbar.
- Sewanee had a shot from outside the 18 in the 75th minute, however Sandhoff tipped the ball over the crossbar to keep the game level.
- The final chance of the match came from Sewanee in the closing seconds, but the Covenant defense stopped a teasing cross that was delivered in the box.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 6-8-2 all-time against Sewanee.
- The Scots have had a draw in each of their last three matches.
- Sandhoff tallied a season-high nine saves.
- Sewanee had 22 shots and Covenant had five.
- The Tigers earned seven corner kicks while the Scots didn't have one for the duration of the 90 minutes.
UP NEXT: Covenant travels to LaGrange for its conference opener on Saturday. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
