SEWANEE, Tenn. - For its final road regular season match, No. 25 Covenant visited Sewanee. The Scots picked up a straight-set win to clinch the season sweep of the Tigers.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- A kill from Kyla Bailey put Covenant ahead 9-4 in the first set.
- The Tigers responded by scoring the next five points to tie the set at nine.Â
- Covenant and Sewanee were neck-and-neck as the set progressed with the set tied at 20.Â
- The Scots fought off two set points and eventually took set one 30-28 as an attack error from the Tigers ended the set.Â
- With a Rachel Bartlett service ace, Covenant jumped out to an 8-3 lead in set two.
- The Scots rode a 10-1 scoring run on Kelsey Carman's service rotation to extend their lead to 20-9.
- Emma Kalbfleisch ended the set at 25-13 with her fourth kill of the set.Â
- Kills from Carman, Bailey and, Kalbfleisch sparked a 4-0 run for Covenant in set three to take a 9-6 lead.
- With the Scots up six points, back-to-back service aces by Sarah Jennings put her team ahead 21-13.
- Covenant closed the set 25-19 and the match with a kill from Carman and a bad set by Sewanee.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 22-29 all-time against Sewanee.
- Kalbfleisch had nine kills while Bailey had eight.
- Haerer posted nine kills and seven total blocks.
- Bartlett tallied another double-double with 25 assists and 13 digs.Â
- Carman led the Scots with 16 digs.Â
UP NEXT: The Scots end the regular season on Saturday with a tri-match against Lynchburg and Oglethrope. Prior to the first game at 12 p.m. Covenant will honor five players for Senior Day.Â
