LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN,Ga. - No. 24 Covenant took on Berea looking to punch its ticket to the CCS Championship match. The Scots did just that while Emma Kalbfeisch hit a career milestone in the win.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Kyla Bailey got the game started with three consecutive service aces.Â
- Berea battled back and with a 3-0 run took a 9-8 lead in the first set.Â
- Behind four attack errors by the Mountaineers plus a kill and service ace from Kalbfleisch, the Scots went on a 6-0 run to take a 18-11 lead.Â
- Berea fought back again to get within two points but Covenant scored three of the last four points to take set one 25-21.Â
- Kills from Hannah Haerer, Rachel Bartlett, and Bailey helped push Covenant ahead 8-4 in set two.Â
- A 5-1 run for the Scots put them in front 16-8.Â
- The Mountaineers responded with a 6-0 run to get back in the set at 18-16.
- Covenant scored the final four points of the set highlighted by two kills from Kalbfleisch and one kill from Sandhoff to take set two 25-17.Â
- Three kills by Sandhoff in the early goings of set three helped give the Scots a 9-5 lead.
- Covenant continued to attack offensively with two kills by Kalbfleisch, the second of which was the 1,000th of her career to give her team a 15-8 lead.Â
- Kelsey Carman recorded a service ace to put Covenant on the brink of a sweep at 22-12.Â
- Bartlett assisted Haerer, Sandhoff, and Bailey for the final points as Covenant won set three 25-15 and the match.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 15-1 all-time against Berea.Â
- Kalbfleisch posted a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs to lead the Scots.Â
- Bartlett tallied 31 assists and seven digs.
- Sandhoff had a full stat sheet with seven kills, seven digs, and five total blocks.
- Covenant has advanced to its second consecutive CCS Championship game in as many years.
