ATLANTA, Ga. - Covenant visited Emory to try and get another nonconference win to add to its record. However, the Eagles came to play and defeated the Scots 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Grace Reyer gave Emory the lead in the 15th minute after beating out a Covenant defender for a loose ball inside the box.
- In the 24th minute, the Eagles doubled their lead as Avery Thompon slotted in the goal off a cross from Katie Hungness.
- Lila WIley had a shot on goal in the 40th minute, but her shot was saved at the top of the goal.
- Covenant had a corner kick soon after and couldn't get a shot from the set piece.
- Emory scored its third in the 57th minute as Kaitlyn Nimmer found the end of a through ball from Michelle Davidson.
- The Eagles had three corner kicks across the next 10 minutes, but Covenant's defense kept them out of goal.
- Lucy Sandhoff made her 13th save of the game in the 70th minute. 13 saves set a new season-high for Sandhoff.
- Madison Teng scored a goal minutes before the game ended for Emory that was assisted by Claire Wilkinson.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant drops to 0-6-0 all-time against Emory.
- Emory outshot Covenant 28-1.
- The Eagles had 13 corner kicks while Covenant had one.
- Each team committed two fouls.
