SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Covenant Men's and Women's Tennis teams competed in the ITA Regionals the last two weekends, hosted by Sewanee. 

The men's team played Sep. 22-23 and the tournament was split into four different draws for singles and doubles. 

In the main draw singles, Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski each won their first round matches. Onufrock defeated Andre Jaakobi of Sewanee and Domkowski took down Shori Nishizoe of North Carolina Wesleyan. 

In the doubles main draw, Onufrock paired up with Austin Dreslinski. They made it to the quarterfinals after winning matches over duos from Birmingham-Southern and Emory. 

Solomon Crouch competed in the purple draw in singles and picked up wins over Drew Guanieri of Methodist and Jefferson Page of Oglethorpe. Gill Dunn won his first round match in the purple draw against Cameron Burkes of Oglethorpe. 

Moving to the gold draw, Brock Boehling defeated Bryce Bernitt of Brevard and Graham Hayes won his first match against Reed Martinson of Birmingham-Southern.

Jeb Barnett and Masen Howard each shined in the black singles draw with two wins. Camden Lashley also was in the black singles draw and won his first round match.

The women's team visited Sewanee on Sep. 29-30 and each player was split into three different draws with both singles and doubles competition. 

In the main draw for singles, Lauren Carr won three consecutive matches after her first round match. The Texas native took down players from Rhodes, Sewanee, and North Carolina Wesleyan. 

Moving to the purple singles draw, Macy Matson advanced to the quarterfinals with wins over Meg Griffin from Birmingham-Southern and Olivia Carpenter of Piedmont. Angel Traylor also was in the purple singles draw where she won her first round match over Abby Gayle Moody from Piedmont in a wild 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 result. 

Christina English played in the gold draw and was victorious in her first round matchup over Elizabeth Ivey from Piedmont. In the gold doubles draw, English paired up with Estee Verdery where they picked up a win over a duo from Piedmont in the first round. 

UP NEXT: Covenant's will begin preparing for its spring season that is set to begin in February.
