LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - For its Senior Night, Covenant took on Maryville at Scotland Yard. Despite having more than triple the amount of shots Maryville did, Covenant couldn't overcome a two-goal deficit.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Maryville took an early lead in the third minute as Craigh Mcllwraith smashed home a cross from Jorge Graniel.
- Whitt Tisdale had two shots in the next 10 minutes, one off target, and the other saved at the bottom left of the goal.
- Maryville doubled its lead in the 25th minute with a headed goal from Will Gallaher assisted by Jorge Graniel on a corner kick.
- Knox Gibson and Fox Landgren had Covenant's final two shots of the half, neither of which were on target.
- At the intermission, shots were even at five.
- Three corner kicks in the first 15 minutes of the second half made Covenant's shot total increase, but the Scots did not capitalize on any of the chances.
- In the 71st minute, Kade Theunissen's shot for Covenant hit the post and out for a goal kick.
- Blake Meyers on his Senior Night got the breakthrough for Covenant in the 83rd minute on a loose ball around the goalie that he put in the net.
- Covenant kept pushing for the equalizer, however, Tyler Swinehart and Luke Laughlin's shots in the final minutes of the game were saved.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant drops 9-9-2 all-time against Maryville.
- Shots were in favor of Covenant, 22-6.
- Covenant had six corner kicks while Maryville had one.
- The foul count was almost even with Maryville having a higher foul count at 7-6.
