The Covenant men's tennis team (1-0) began their 2022-23 season with a home win over MUW on Wednesday.
The Scots dropped just a handful of points throughout the sweep of MUW (0-1).
In doubles,
Austin Dreslinski and
Gill Dunn picked up an 8-0 win over Sam Yarborough and Allen Lewis at the top spot, while
Camden Lashley and Graham Hayes swept Lucas Suggs and Kaleb Webster at No. 2.
Andrew Graham and
David Netherton teamed up for an 8-0 victory over Carson McClung and Kristopher Mclouran at No. 3.
In singles play,
Solomon Crouch toppled Yarbourough 6-0, 6-0 at the top flight.
The other five flights in singles action were straight-set sweeps by the Scots. Graham Hayes took a win at No. 2 and Jackson Nance was a winner at No. 3. Jacob Eldridge, Masen Howard, and
David Netherton took victories at Nos. 4, 5, and 6 respectively.
WOMEN
The Covenant women's tennis team (1-0) began their 2022-23 season with a convincing home win over MUW on Wednesday.
In doubles,
Gillian Bosko and
Dani Rappuhn picked up an 8-1 win over Sarah Kackley and Mallory Parker at the top spot, while
Alexis Baker and Sophia Skelton swept Terraline Green and Kelis Griffin at No. 3. Nikki Restrepo and
Lauren Carr teamed up for an 8-0 victory over Macie Monasco and Maggie Etheridge at No. 2.
In singles play,
Gillian Bosko toppled Kackley 6-0, 6-0 at the top flight.
The other five flights in singles action were straight-set sweeps by the Scots.
Lauren Carr took a win at No. 2 and Addi Gunyon was a winner at No. 3.
Alexis Baker, Angel Traylor, and
Dani Rappuhn took victories at Nos. 4, 5, and 6 respectively.

Come and support the Scots as Women's Tennis will be hosting Brevard at home next Wednesday, September 21
st.
Men's Tennis travels next weekend to Knoxville to take on Pfieffer and Johnson.
