MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Three different players scored to lead the Covenant women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory at Huntingdon on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery.

Covenant held a 19-5 shot advantage and produced its sixth shutout of the year in the process. The Lady Scots move to 7-4 overall and 5-3 inside the USA South, while Huntingdon drops to 3-7-2 and 1-5-2 on the year.

Allie Vannoy notched her fourth goal of the year in the 11th minute of play giving Covenant a 1-0 lead, one they would not relinquish. The score goes down as the contest's game-winner giving Vannoy four game-winners on the year.

In the second half, Covenant extended its lead to 3-0 with goals just 35 seconds apart. Summer Bader made it 2-0 with her second goal of the season in the 76th minute, assisted by Christy Barton, right before Taylor Winking's score in the 77th minute of play. Winking's goal, assisted by Rachel Buys, was her first collegiate score.

Covenant keepers Rachel Lemay and Jordan Brett combined for the shutout. Lemay made four saves in over 78 minutes at the net before Brett took over for the final few minutes of regulation. The shutout drops Covenant's team goals against average to 0.81 on the year, the third-best mark in the USA South.

Of Covenant's 19 shots, Vannoy and Anna Porch each had four attempts. 13 of the Lady Scots' attempts were on target as Huntingdon keeper Leah Leach made 10 saves.

Covenant will travel to Greensboro on Monday, Oct. 19 for a make-up contest with the Pride. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
